2017 Elemental Cellars “PTG” Red Blend - $25 per bottle

In Burgundy, “Passe-Tout-Grains” is a traditional blend of roughly 30% Pinot Noir and 70% Gamay Noir and serves as the “house wine” in many a winemaker’s home. While there is no literal translation for the term, it roughly translates as “the kitchen sink”. Our 2017 Elemental Cellars “PTG” honors this tradition. A total of 234 cases were made.

2017 Elemental Cellars Riesling

This 2017 Riesling is modeled after the Alsatian style of a dry, crisp and refreshing white wine. Picked at the end of the 2017 harvest, it comes from the Chehalem Mountains AVA. The vineyard was planted int the late ‘70’s, is dry farmed and remains one of the few older Riesling vineyards remaining in the Willamette Valley. The flavor profile suggests perar and apricot with just a hint of the “petrol” aroma for which Riesling is famous. It is the perfect pairing for seafood (think mussels) and any Thai dish with a bit of heat.

2019 Elemental Cellars “Croft Vineyard Reserve” Pinot Gris - $20 per bottle

The fruit for this delightful wine was grown at Croft Vineyard, an organically farmed site located in the foothills of the coast range near Monmouth in the Willamette Valley. The grapes were picked in late September. They were gently pressed, allowed to settle, and racked to two neutral barrels where the wine was fermented to dryness. The wine spent ten and a half months in barrel before bottling. This 2019 Elemental Cellars “Reserve” Pinot Gris offers delightful fruit flavors remeiniscent of apple and pear, beautifully balanced by a crip, refreshing acidity. A total of 42 cases were produced.
